Step by Step Guide to DIY Invitations

1. Choose whether you wish to begin with blank cards of partially printed DIY Invitations

2. Select The Invitation size and layout – folding or flat? Perhaps one or our pre-printed invitation designs would be easier for you?

3. Select your choice of card stock and weight to print out your DIY invitations on.

4. Use your word processor to insert text boxes with the words you want on your invitation. Play around with the fonts and text color.

5. DIY Invitation Sensation offer free clip art and pictures that you can use for your invitations. Browse through and download the pictures you want and then insert them into your card at the desired location using our free invitation printing templates.

6. If you use a background image, make sure it is not to dark for the text on the card. Ideally, background images should be watermarked and adjusted from there. Most word processors will allow you to select background images and make them watermarks.

7. Need wording templates a poem or verse? DIY invitation sensation have an extensive free wording gallery.

8. Save the finished DIY invitation layout and print out a sample copy on plain paper to see what it will look like so you do not waste your cards. If it looks good, and the wording is in the right place then you can start personalizing each card and printing it out on your blank cards.

9. If it all sounds to hard don’t worry DIY Invitation Sensation can professionally print your invitations and matching stationery for you!
